Role Purpose

As an IT Support professional at Oceonix, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the organisation’s IT systems and infrastructure. You will ensure that IT incidents, service requests, and operational tasks are responded to promptly, managed efficiently, and delivered in line with agreed service levels, security standards, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve IT support requests and incidents (hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and connectivity), escalating where appropriate and keeping users informed throughout.
  • Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Oversee endtoend user lifecycle management in Microsoft 365, including onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning.
  • Manage and optimise software and service licensing across the organisation to maintain compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Enforce and monitor security controls such as MultiFactor Authentication (MFA) and adherence to organisational IT policies.
  • Configure, deploy, and administer Intune, Autopilot, and device management workflows to support a modern, secure endpoint environment.
  • Build, configure, and maintain workstation hardware and peripherals, ensuring consistent and secure device standards across the office.
  • Support meeting room setup and AV conferencing equipment, including Zoom and Microsoft Teams Rooms, ensuring reliable audio/video and smooth meeting start-up.
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues, delivering advanced troubleshooting and collaborating with MSPs to ensure timely resolution.
  • Diagnose and resolve a range of hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Deliver training, documentation, and bestpractice guidance to end users to support effective and secure use of digital tools.
  • Support and maintain organisational cloud services, including Azure, PowerApps, and SaaS applications, ensuring performance and availability.

Person Specification

  • Demonstrated experience supporting IT systems, with strong capability across technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Autopilot and Ubiquiti network solutions, alongside good understanding of cybersecurity best practice.
  • Serviceminded and proactive, willing to support users during urgent situations where MSP assistance is unavailable and committed to delivering highquality IT service.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity best practice and the ability to apply secure configurations across systems.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt and reprioritise responsibilities as necessary.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Open to constructive feedback and committed to ongoing professional development.
